Sad new in the genealogy research world.  The Missouri State Historical Society announced that they are cutting their operation hours to Monday – Thursday and closing on Friday and Saturdays effective immediately. 

This started on Oct 28th and they also announced that there were 3 positions eliminated.  The staff took voluntary salary cuts to keep from having massive lay-offs. 

The Historical Society is seeking private funds to help with the newspaper filming project and we can only hope that they are successful.
